The Start Line page allows RDS to collect start time information for crews. It also provides general information about the crews in each race to help the starter determine whether they have all of the crews.

General information

A countdown timer shows the time remining until the scheduled start time. This is only for the starter's benefit; it has no other functionality.

Each crew is shows with information about when it checked in, whether the coxswain should be carrying weight, whether any penalties have been assessed against the crew. Additional penalties can also be added.

Sprint racing

If the race has a sprint start, there is a large, green Start All! button near the top of the page. Press this as the starter says Go! and drops the flag. The crew information updates to show the start time of each crew.

If any of the crews were not present at the start, click on the yellow Undo start! button for that crew to indicate to the finish line that this crew was absent.

False starts

If there isa. false start, reset the race information by clicking the red Reset race button and confirm your action.

Time trials

For a time trial, the page shows the crew information, alsong with a green button that shows the crew's bow number along with start!. Click this as the crew's bowball crosses the start line. The green button updates to show the crew's start time and a yellow Undo start! button.

In the case of an accidental button press, you can click the Undo start! button, which unsets the crew's start time and provides the green start! button. If the race is a time trial,

Head racing

A head race is set up as a group of time trials all showing on the same page. Simply work your way down the page using the green start! buttons when appropriate.
