Schedule groups

From Regattadata

Schedule groups are set up on the Administrate regatta page.

Schedule groups provide a mechanism for subdividing the events at a regatta. Where a regatta wishes to run heats and finals of an event on a single day, the administrator should name the schedule groups after the day (for clarity). Other regattas may wish to run different groups of events as a block, but not be constrained to a single day or racing session. Using schedule groups can make this possible.

The switch titled Is head race causes the bow numbers to be assigned sequentially for all of the races in the schedule group, as opposed to using bow markers to refer to lanes. This is useful for head races and for skills events.

Schedule groups allow the same event (category, weight, sex, boat class, etc.) to be run more than once in any particular regatta.

You can set the course length for each schedule group, as well as turning on the Garrett-Zezza handicap system for masters, which requires the course length to be set in order to calculate standard times and handicaps.

You can set the number of lanes on the course, and the suggested time before a race that a crew reports to the out dock.
